I love fried bananas. They’re sweet but not overbearingly, you know? The best fried bananas are made with coconut oil and butter. They just turn out amazing.

We all want to know what something is supposed to look like while we’re cooking, do we not? Maybe it’s just a me thing, but nothing is worse than trying a new recipe and having no idea what it’s supposed to look like as you go along.

Best Fried Bananas

Ever had fried plantains? Well, let me tell you that these are some of the best fried bananas you’ll ever eat. (Don’t worry, they’re not deep fried.)

  • Prep Time: 3 mins
  • Cooking Time: 10 mins
  • Total Time: 13 mins

  • Servings: 2

  • 2 Large, dark plantains (the darker the sweeter, the yellower the starchier)
  • 1 Teaspoon Coconut Oil

  • 1 Teaspoon Butter
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • Slice bananas into small circles.
  • In a medium pan, melt the butter and coconut oil.
  • Once melted, add the sliced bananas and pinch of salt.
  • When the bananas turn a nice toasty brown on one side, flip them.
  • And serve!
